As a seasoned and battle-tested banker with more than 30 years of banking experience coupled with more than 25 years of regulatory compliance acumen obtained within a large bank environment, including serving as a Board appointed FDPA Officer, Don Brown established NavigatorConsulting to provide FDPA regulatory guidance, oversight, coaching and training to loan officers, operation managers and executives of financial institutions on a national basis by ensuring that effective regulatory controls identify, eliminate, and prevent FDPA documentation deficiencies and other potential violations of 12 CFR 22.

Don has developed national strategic liaisons, memberships, and partnerships with U.S. governmental agencies/officers, including but not limited to the OCC, FEMA, ABA, MBA, NFIP, NFA, U.S. Treasury, DHS, and the FRB to maintain a cutting-edge of current regulatory guidance, trends, and initiatives through these professional associations. Don has been recognized for creating practical solutions designed to identify and resolve regulatory Matters Requiring Attention (MRA) and developing a scalable and sustainable strategic plan to address Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) by prudential regulators.

Maintaining certifications as a Certified Risk Professional (CRP), Certified Internal Controls Auditor (CIAC), and State-specific educational certifications, Don has consistently been recognized nationally for the role of both advocate and educator helping bankers, regulators, bank customers, and other FDPA stakeholders better understand complex regulatory issues.
